Event : PCSSS wins Prizes in Rangsutra 2017

Description :

School of Tourism and Management organised a three day event from 13 to 15 September’17 for the students to participate in number of activities. Our Students from Classes XI and XII participated in two events - ‘Chitrakala’ - art of capturing and Chajja Sajawat. Vanshika Jamwal and Malvika Sharma of Class XII A stood First and Second respectively in ‘Chitrakala’ – The art of Capturing whereas Garima Mahajan and Udita Sharma were felicitated for their participation in Chajja Sajawat Competition. Overall, it was a good learning experience for the students as the complete event was based on the promotion of varied culture of J&K.

Event : PCSSS bags Prizes in ‘Tirangaa’

Description :

On 8 September’17 our school participated in ‘Tirangaa- Celebrating the Environment’, an Annual Inter School Competition organized by Banyan International School, a platform for children to compete and exhibit their skills. Hiba Gauhar of IX B and Shambhavi Singh of IX C bagged the First Prize in the category of Green Quotient Quiz. Shreya Khajuria of VIII D bagged the Second Prize in the on spot Poetry Writing Competition. The students who performed the street play also brought laurels to the School by bagging Second Position in the competition. All the children participated with zeal and enthusiasm and were appreciated by one and all.

Inter School Debate was organized by The Tribune in collaboration with Chitkara University at Shiksha Niketan on 4 September. Supriya Shekar of Class XII A bagged the First Prize from among 14 schools. She received a cash reward of Rs. 6000.

Event : Students attend the interactive session on Foreign Exchange

Description :

On 12 May 2017, the students of Classes XI and XII from Commerce and Humanities streams attended the Town Hall event on Foreign Exchange organized by the RBI at Brigadier Rajninder Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu. This was graced by the Deputy Director, Foreign Exchange Trade, Mr. M. K .Nikhare and Manager, Forex Department, Mr. Reshi, who showed the students a presentation and discussed about various aspects of foreign exchange. A quiz based on the presentation was then held in which Nidhi Singh of Class XII won Consolation Prize. All in all, it was an enriching experience for the students which helped them to foster an interest in Banking and Foreign Exchange.

Event : ANNUAL NANO NAGLE INTER SCHOOL DEBATE 2016

Description :

Inter-School Annual Nano Nagle Memorial Debate was conducted in the school auditorium on 27 April, 2016. The topic of the debate was “Caste based reservation is a sure step to India’s socio-economic progress”. 12 schools participated in the competition. The event was judged by Ms. Geetanajali Rana, Associate Prof, English, Ms Nirlape Kaur, Associate Prof Pol Science and Ms Anshuja Tak, Advocate. First position was bagged by Jodhamal Public School, while second position was won by Khushboo Turki of Class XI A of our school. The third position was shared between Mehula Khajuria of class XII of our school and Mahavir Singh of Delhi Public School. The coveted Rolling Trophy was lifted by the host school.
